Linda Sue Newbern Teixeira, age 64, of Douglas GA, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas GA. Ms. Teixeira, a native of Lowndes County, Georgia was born May 26, 1946; she is the daughter of the late Pleaman and Elma Metts Newbern. Graveside Services and Interment were held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at the Metts Family Cemetery in Berrien County, GA with Rev. Milton Pate officiating. Soloist, Clyde Harper provided the special music. Active pallbearers were: Steven Gomez, Craig LePage, Edward Newell, Jacob Spivey, Terry Irwin and Brandon Burkett. Survivors inlcude: Husband, Daniel John Teixeira, Douglas GA, Son, Gregory David (Debbie) Palm, Port St Lucie FL, Daughters, Tessa Palm (Buddy) Hagan, Ft. Pierce FL, Sandra Lee Palm, Ft. Pierce FL, Christine Harper, Douglas GA, Sisters, Dicey Smith, Sweetwater TN, Carole Spell, Hinesville GA, Rhonda Newell, Pearson GA, Eleven Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren, nieces nephews and other relatives.
