Jeanette (Rodrigues) Audette, 77, of Dartmouth entered into eternal peace on Monday September 13, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph A. N. Audette, the loving mother of Michael N. Audette and his companion Melanie Gosselin, Suzanne M. A. Valois and her husband Roland, and Valerie J. Williams and her husband Jay, all of Dartmouth, and Christopher J. Audette and his wife Shelley of New Bedford, and the loving grandmother of Kyle, Christopher, Adam, Alec, Morgan, and Rylee Audette, Elise and Nicole Valois, Ashley J. N. deFigueiredo, Austin J., Jay, and Erin Williams, and Caite Howland. She is also survived by her loving sister Doris Gomes of Acushnet; her special niece, Judith Robertson; and several other nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles Rodrigues and Manuel Vieira.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of the late Georgianna (Frias) Rodrigues, she lived in Dartmouth for most of her life. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
Mrs. Audette was a gentle loving wife, mother, Nana, aunt, sister, and friend. She enjoyed gardening, cake decorating, and floral arranging. A gourmet cook, she enjoyed hosting elaborate dinner parties for family and friends.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, South Dartmouth. Private burial will be in South Dartmouth Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
