Obituary

Mary A. (Dukacz) Travers, 87, died at the Baypointe Nursing Center in Brockton on Sept. 11, 2010, following a brief illness.
Born, raised and educated in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Stephan and Kathie (Adamczyk) Dukacz.
She more recently resided in Raynham.
For over twenty-five years, Mrs. Travers and her late husband of sixty-six years, Edward J. Travers, owned and operated the former Travers Market in East Taunton.
She was later employed by Classic Jewelry of Taunton.
A communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Taunton, Mrs. Travers was an avid Bingo player, and a huge Celtics and Red Sox fan.
She enjoyed trips to casinos, and having fun with friends and family.
She leaves a son, Edward J. Travers II and his wife Debra of East Taunton; two daughters, Jayne Champagne of Raynham and Nancy Claiborne of Taunton; a sister, Stephanie Souza of Raynham; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Thursday Sept. 16th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Rosary Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday Sept. 15th from 4 to 7 p.m.
