Curtis Powell Team, 82, of Irwin County died Sunday, September 12, 2010, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Eddie Hutcheson and Dr. Danny Ray will officiate with burial to follow in Fletcher Cemetery at Pinetta in Irwin County. Shane Team, Michael Team, Turner Roberts, Taylor Roberts, Ricky Fletcher and Jim Team will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Team was born on August 24, 1928 in Tifton and was the son of Powell McCrae Team and Gallie “Jane” Hinson Team, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Fletcher Team; three brothers, Johnny Team, Grover Team and Clyde Team; two sisters, Gracelee Veazey and Sadie Brooks; and one son-in-law, John Quickle. He was a retired meat packer and a member of Tifton’s First Assembly of God.
Mr. Team is survived by one son, Ray Team of Stormy Lake, Iowa; one daughter, Carol Quickle of Ocilla; four brothers, Willie Team of Jacksonville, Florida, J. T. Team of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Charles Team of Mulberry, Florida and Danny Team of Mulberry, Florida; three sisters, Geneva Boles of Soldotna, Alaska, Carolyn Murzynski of Athens and Suzean Bacon of Mulberry, Florida; two grandchildren, Shane Team of Arkansas City, Kansas and Stacie Roberts of Wautaga, Illinois; and five great grandchildren, Lance Team of Arkansas City, Kansas, Michael Team of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Katie Team of Arkansas City, Kansas, Turner Roberts of Wautaga, Illinois and Taylor Roberts of Wautaga, Illinois.
