Obituary

Michael A. Pasakarnis, of Plymouth formerly of Springfield, Bridgewater and Mashpee, passed away on September 8th, struck by lightning during an unexpected storm, while doing what he most loved: spending time outdoors. Michael, also known as “Wolf” to many friends in Plymouth and beyond, was a compassionate person who accepted people without judgement. Michael taught us all how to be kind in the face of adversity. Micheal enjoyed running, biking, the ocean, nature, animals and family. His artistic skills included writing poetry, which he recited frequently at local venues, and drawing and painting. His apartment, which displayed his drawings, paintings and writings, is a testimonial to his creative free spirit. As he wrote himself, “The time has come for the light of nature to free my soul.” He was 29. Michael is survived by his beloved parents Michael Pasakarnis and his wife Beth of Mashpee and Kathleen Struzik-Rapoza and her husband Joseph of Springfield. He also leaves his loving sisters Jennifer (Goodwin) Clapp and her husband Donald and their daughters Zoe and Casey of Easthampton, Karra Kiely of Quincy and Kristina Kiely of Springfield; his uncles Richard Pasakarnis and his wife Charlene of N. Easton, Tom Pasakarnis and his wife Gina of Woburn, Steve Pasakarnis and his wife Marguerita of Greensboro, NC; and Bob Struzik and his wife Betty of Bridgewater, his aunts Patricia Johnston and her husband John and Ann Shores and her husband Gary all of Palm Bay, FL and many cousins. Michael was born in Ft. Pierce, FL and graduated from Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School.
