Linda M. (Noone) Kelly, a 39 year resident of North Billerica and formerly of Charlestown, died on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at her home in North Billerica after a 3 year courageous battle with cancer. She was 62 years old.
Linda was born in Boston on July 22, 1948 to the late Wilbur and Elizabeth (Gillespie) Noone. Linda grew up in Charlestown where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Cathedral High School in Boston in 1966. Linda worked for several years at The Boston Naval Shipyard in the dive shop. She also worked for more than 16 years as a Mailhandler for the United States Postal Service and was a member of the Mailhandlers Union Local # 301. Linda enjoyed traveling especially with her husband to Hawaii 5 different times.
Linda is the beloved wife of 41 years to Dana J. Kelly. She is the devoted mother of Brian P. Kelly and his wife Wendy of Billerica, Kristin Ward and her husband Kevin of North Andover and David M. Kelly and his wife Kristin of Billerica. She is the loving Nana to Sean, Ryan and Meagan Kelly and Eryn Marie Ward. She is the beloved sister of William Noone of Arkansas, the late Claire Schraffenberger, James Noone, Walter Noone and Mary Brooks. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Linda's Funeral on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 10 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 11 a.m. Cremation will take place following her funeral mass. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m.
