Joy, Joseph M. Jr. of Quincy, died on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Best friend and beloved husband of 53 years to Regina B. (Johnson) Joy. Loving father of Donna C. Adams and her husband Stephen of Temple, TX and the late Timothy R. Joy. Proud "Grampy" of Jamie Lynn Joy -Adams of TX. Brother of Lois Pimental and her husband Robert of Squantum, Kenneth Joy and his wife Dale of Beaufort, SC and the late Beverly Ayers and her late husband Charlie Ayers. Joe is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Joe retired as Director of Operations Metropolitan Switching after 35 years of service with New England Telephone Company. He was a member of the Quincy Elks- Post # 943 and a proud Boston College Football fan. Devoted to his family, he will be remembered as a loving husband and a cherished father and grandfather, who will be sadly missed.
A graveside service was held on Saturday at St. Mary's Cemetery, Quincy. Arrangements were completed by the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy.
