Mr. Frank Goins, age 94, of Winston-Salem, husband of Ruth Goins, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center.Mr. Goins was born in Surry County on May 13, 1916 to the late Robert and Ella Goins. He retired from R.J. Reynolds. He served in the Army as a Master Sergeant during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was of the Baptist Faith.Mr. Goins is survived by his loving wife Ruth of 23 years; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Robert “Bobby” (Nancy) Goins of Asheboro, Carlos “Bud” (Dell) Goins of Rural Hall; two daughters and son-in-laws, Kay Ann (Bobby) Coe of Rural Hall, Peggy (Don) Ensley of Great Falls, MT; two step-children, Sheila Johansen and Conrad (Sandi) Johansen; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.Mr. Goins is preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Mary Collins Goins; two sons, Jack Leon Goins and Franklin Wayne Goins and several brothers and sisters.Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010 at Cox-Needham Chapel at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Skip Furrow, Pastor Jon White officiating with interment to follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall with Full Military Honors given by American Legion Post 290 of King.Family will receive friends on Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 6:30 till 9 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain (www.coxneedham.com) is respectfully serving the Goins family.
