Michael W. Marra Jr., 66, of Hooksett, NH died November 27, 2003 at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH after a brief illness.
Born in Bronx, NY on July 19, 1937, he was the son of Michael and Maria (Ferruzzi) Marra. He grew up in Pelham Manor, NY, then lived in Larchmont, NY, Clearwater, FL and Amherst, NH before moving to Hooksett, NH three years ago.
He was a graduate of Iona Prep in New Rochelle, NY in 1955. He then earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University in 1959, and a master’s degree from City College of New York in 1966.
Mr. Marra worked as an engineer and held various management positions with Sperry Defense Systems in New York and Clearwater, FL. He then held various executive management positions with Kollsman Incorporated in Merrimack, NH and retired in 1999.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia (Gagliardi) Marra in 1991.
The family includes his wife, Christine (Cushing) Marra of Hooksett, NH; four sons, Michael Marra of San Antonio, TX, Stephen Marra of Palm Harbor, FL, Thomas Marra of Litchfield, NH and David Marra of Lutz, FL; three daughters, Jeanne Brennan of Palm Harbor, FL, Patricia Jasinski of Hatfield, PA and Marianne Waterman of Bow, NH; 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three step daughters, Karen Gingrich of Gilford, NH, Brenda Talbot of Londonderry, NH and Victoria Dotson of Tucson, AZ; a sister, Cynthia DeVita of Valley Cottage, NY; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday December 1, 2003 in St. Patrick Church, 16 Amherst St., Milford, NH. Burial followed in St. Patrick Cemetery, Amherst, NH
