Mr. Marvin Noah Flippin, 86, of 207 Yates Hill Road, Rockingham, Died Thursday, September 9, 2010 in his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 12, in the Trinity Emmanuel Holiness Church with Pastor Buzz Hill and Rev. Jerry Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery.
Marvin was born in Stokes County on May 31, 1924 o the late Joe and Hester Wright Flippin. He served in the US Army, and retired from Pepsi Cola as a supervisor after 51 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife, Helen Flippin, two brothers, Ranz and Meggs Flippin, and two sisters, Etta Martin and Della Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie G. Flippin; a step-daughter, Jenny Lind Guthrie of Siler City; and three sisters, Josie Shelton of Morganton, Alene Brown of Thomasville, and Otelia McDonald of Rockingham.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 at Trinity Emmanuel Holiness Church, and other times at the home.
