Obituary

Sid Foley of Blakely died Sunday at Moses Taylor Hospital. His wife is the former Irene Becaver.

Born in Dickson City, he was the son of the late Joseph and Stephania Dembroski Folejewski. Along with his wife he owned and operated Foley Signs, Blakely, for many years. He was a decorated Army veteran, having served in France, Luxembourge, Germany and Austria. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with four Bronze Stars. He was honorably discharged with the rank of staff sergeant. He was a member and past president of the Olyphant Rotary club. He was a member of Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church, Olyphant.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted Friday with Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church, Olyphant. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
