Mary Ellen (McDonald) Green, 62, of Franklin died September 8 in Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Michael A. Green.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, September 24, 1947, the daughter of the late Patrick and Anna (Pollack) McDonald, Mrs. Green was raised in the Greenport section of Brooklyn and had lived in Bellingham and Blackstone for many years before moving to Franklin 2 years ago.
Mrs. Green had worked for the Thundermist Dental Associates in Woonsocket and had previously worked for Papa Gino’s and had been an Avon consultant.
Mary enjoyed bowling, going to yard sales, “cruising”, making visits to Foxwoods and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Karen Carlucci and her husband Thomas of Franklin, Patrick Green and his wife Cynthia of Manassas, Virginia, Michael Green and his wife Sheryl of North Grosvenordale, CT and Laurie Dumas and her husband Bryan of Cumberland, RI.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew, Michael and Breanna Green and Thomas and Kevin Carlucci.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, September 13 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 5-8 p.m.
