Obituary

Bessie (Pappas) Trotta, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died on Sunday, September 5 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of 62 years of Robert V. Trotta. Born in Ipswich, she was educated in Stoughton schools. She was a resident of Stoughton for 83 years. Mrs. Trotta was a cafeteria worker at Stoughton Junior High School for many years before retiring in 1987. An avid lover of animals, she especially loved dogs.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Trotta is survived by her sons, Robert C. Trotta and his wife Ann of Whitman, William V. Trotta and his wife Tamson of Stoughton and Bruce E. Trotta and his wife Susanne of N. Attleboro. She was the grandmother of Michele, Marc, Brittany, Shaye, Julia and Cole and the great-grandmother of Jack and Clara. She was the sister of Mary Pappas of Stoughton and the late George Pappas.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, September 10 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Bessie’s name may be made to the Good Samaritan Medical Center E.R. Fund, 235 N. Pearl St., Brockton, MA 02301.
