WORCESTER-Robert A. Patenaude, 69 died Wednesday at home after a brief batlle with pancreatic cancer. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Mary (McElroy) Patenaude, 3 sons, Douglas Patenaude of Worcester, Robert Patenaude of Rutland, Paul Patenaude of Worcester; 2 daughters, Patricia Arsenault of Sutton and Jacqueline Boucher of North Hampton; 2 sisters, Naomi Thomas of Connecticut and Elaine Dubois of Ohio and 2 brothers, Donald Patenaude of Connecticut and Edwin Patenaude of Florida; 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Bridgeport, CT son of Aime Nelson and Lillian (Bachand) Patenaude and lived here most of his life. He was a veteran of the National Gaurd. Mr. Patenaude retired Nabisco Foods. He previously worked for Polar Corporation.
The funeral will be Monday, Dec. 1st from LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 3 Wiser Ave. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be Sunday, Nov. 30th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, cntributions may be made to the UMass Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605
