Obituary

Edith M. (Carey) Naujalis, 84 years, of Brockton died Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center, Easton. She was the loving wife of the late Alphonse Naujalis. Edith was born and raised in Marblehead the daughter of the late Chester Carey and Estella (Mossauer) Carey and lived much of her life in Brockton. She was a 1944 graduate of Marblehead High School where she was a cheerleader and member of the National Honor Society. Edith worked as a payroll manager at former Woodbridge Nursing Home. Her hobbies included knitting and crocheting and she loved all New England sports. After her retirement, she answered phones for Bourne’s Auto Center where everyone called her Nana.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah A. Bourne and her husband Calvin of So. Easton and Diane Clark of Taunton. She leaves five grandchildren, Jason Bourne and his wife Kerry; Jacqueline Bourne; Michelle and her husband Dave Masi; Beth and her husband Brian Langston and Michael Clark and his wife Kristin and 6 great grandchidlren. Edith was predeceased by her brothers Donald and Kenneth Carey.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton at 9am. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:15am. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm.
