Lucille T. Watier, 84, of Muron Ave., Bellingham, died Saturday evening at Woonsocket Health Center surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Alfred N. Watier. They were married for 65 years.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Romuald and Daisy (Dubois) Lamoureux. She was raised in Woonsocket and resided in Bellingham for over 50 years.
Mrs. Watier was employed by several businesses in the area.
She was a homemaker for most of her life and took great pride in caring for her family. She had a special talent for gardening and enjoyed caring for her flowers.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Alfred M. Watier and Ronald Watier, both of North Smithfield, and Michael Watier of Bellingham. She was the mother of the late Robert Watier. She was the sister of Jeannette DeMontigny of CA, and the late Robert, Marcel, Edgar, and Normand Lamoureux, Gertrude Brodeur, Florence Haczynski, Simone Richard, and Theresa Horne. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Wednesday at 9:00 am from the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Theresa’s Church, Rathbun St, Blackstone. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 pm.
