Minnie E. Vota, 98

Dateline: North Conway, New Hampshire

Minnie E. (Weber) Vota, 98, of North Conway formerly of Attleboro and Norton passed away on Saturday September 4, 2010 at Mineral Springs of North Conway. She was the beloved wife of the late Chester Vota, Fred Smith and William Sullivan.
Born in Norton, MA on January 25, 1912 she was a loving daughter of the late George J. and Wilhelmina (Ziems) Weber.
Minnie grew up in Norton and was educated in Norton public schools. A resident of North Conway for the past 7 years, she had formerly made her home in Attleboro and Norton for many years.
A retired jewelry worker, Minnie worked most of her life in the jewelry industry and retired from Foster Metals in Attleboro after over 25 years of employment.
A former communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Attleboro and St. Mary’s Church in Norton, she was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s Club in Norton. Minnie was also a former member of the Attleboro Grange.
She enjoyed crocheting and spending time in the presence of her adoring family. While married to her late husband Fred, they enjoyed the many happy winters spent in sunny Florida. Minnie was a loving person who unconditionally gave of herself to others. She served as a caregiver to her loving family and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to others in need. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her devoted children Kathleen A. (Sullivan) Bryant and her husband Tom of Center Conway, New Hampshire, Norman F. Sullivan and his wife Annette of Okeechobee, Florida and the late James W. Sullivan. She was the step mother of Robert Smith and his wife Joan of Norton, Patricia Betts of North Attleboro, Marion Dennen and her husband Bob of Florida and the late Wiiliam Smith. The dear sister of the late William Weber, Clara Marshall, Martha Watson and Erma Sohler, she is also survived by her cherished several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday September 10th at 9:00 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 1 Power St. Norton. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Attleboro.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 9th from 6-9 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Minnie’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Thomas J. Bryant, III Scholarship Fund, care of Kathleen A. Bryant P.O. Box 666 Center Conway, New Hampshire 03813.
