JAMES, Vincent A., age 93, of Philmont, NY, formerly of Palisades Park, NJ died on Sept 3.
Devoted son of the late Harold James and Elsie (nee Tubby). Loving brother of Dorothy Oakley. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Vincent faithfully and dutifully served our country during World War II. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and Good Conduct Medal, and was honorably discharged from the Army in 1945. Upon his discharge, he worked for the Board of Education in Queens, NY.
Friends and family are invited for visitation at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd, Oradell, NJ on Thursday, September 9th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A short prayer service will begin at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
