Obituary

Celeste (DeFreitas) King, 85, of Manchester died September 3, 2010 at Courville at Manchester after a long illness.
She was born in Lowell, MA on May 11, 1925 to Frederick and Gabriela (Rodiques) DeFreitas. She lived in Manchester most of her life.
She worked at Pandora Industries in Manchester for many years.
Mrs. King was an active communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Manchester. She was also active with the Knights of Columbus, Moore Center Services and the Order of Alhambra.
She was an avid bowler, Red Sox fan and singer who loved Sunday jaunts to the beach.
She cherished her time with family and will be dearly missed.
She was a dedicated and beloved wife of 47 years to Frank P. King, who died in 1996.
IN HER LIFE: She was the devoted mother of three children, Francis King of Manchester, Patrick King and his wife, Claire, of Florida, and Joyce King and her husband, Ray LaFlamme, of Brooklyn, NY; three grandchildren, Aidan LaFlamme, Kristen King and Nicholas King; a great granddaughter, Ellie Rose Bateman; three brothers, Frederick DeFreitas, Richard DeFreitas and Gabriel DeFreitas all of Manchester; a sister, Matilda Philippy of Meredith; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
