BEVERLY: James L. Rogers, 62, of Chestnut Park, died Thursday, September 2, 2010 at his home following an extended illness. He was the husband of Diana L. (Fairfield) Hills Rogers.
Born in Dorchester on February 25, 1948, he was the son of Katherine Rogers. He had resided in Beverly most of his life. Jim was employed for the Ryder Truck Rental Company in Stoneham for many years. He enjoyed fishing, country music and especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
In addition to his wife of twenty-three years, he is survived by three sons, Robert Charles Hills, Jr., Randy C. Hills and his wife, Melissa A. Hills and Russell Craig Hills.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 10th in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly from 5 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
