LAWRENCE – America R. “Amy” (DeSimone) Franco 95 of Lawrence died Monday August 30, 2010 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
Born and educated in Lawrence, she was the daughter of Amedeo and Marie (Marino) DeSimone. For many years she was a seamstress at Southwick and Lawrence Clothing. She was an attendant of Corpus Christ Parish/Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence and enjoyed playing bingo.
The widow of Dominic J. Franco she is survived by her children, Marie Lynch and her husband Charles of North Andover, Paula Doyle of Lawrence and Kenneth Franco and his wife Lorraine of Haverhill.
One sister Angie Dubois of Methuen, MA.
5 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENT: Memorials can be made to Mary Immaculate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center 172 Lawrence Street Lawrence, MA 01841. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00p.m. in St. Lucy’s Church in Methuen, MA with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
