Tiverton, RI - Leonard Moniz, 64, of Main Road, Tiverton died at home November 25, 2003 after a long illness. He was the husband of Diane M. (Fortin) Moniz.
He was born in Tiverton son of the late Manuel J. and Mary (Costa) Moniz. He was a lifelong resident of Tiverton. He was employed as a commercial fisherman by the Point Trap Fishing Co., Tiverton until his retirement in 2000.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 daughters: Diane M. Ferreira of Tiverton, Laura A. Phillips of Newport and Jennifer L. Blackall of Little Rock, AK; 9 grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
He was brother of the late Antone Moniz, Louisa Spoonamore and Manuel J. Moniz, Jr.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
