Obituary

Theodore J. VonEuw, 80, of West Wareham and formerly of Franklin died August 29 in his home following a long illness. He was the husband of Margaret A. (Finlayson) VonEuw and also the husband of the late Grace A. (Patti) VonEuw who died in 1992.
Born in Boston, December 24, 1929, the son of the late Charles and Helen (O’Connor) VonEuw, Mr. VonEuw was raised in West Roxbury and had lived in Franklin for over 40 years prior to moving to West Wareham 7 years ago.
Ted had been a design draftsman for the Raytheon Corporation before retiring. He had previously worked for GTE Sylvania Corporation.
Following his retirement he worked part time for Dave’s TV repair in Ashland.
Mr. VonEuw had been an usher at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin and member of the Franklin Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council #1847, the Newton Men’s Choir and the Redmen of Wareham.
Ted enjoyed Cape Cod, being with his family and riding his motorcycle.
In addition to his wife, he is survived b his children, Theodore Jr. of New Jersey, Charles of Rhode Island, Christine McGregor of Kingston and Victoria Bobrowski and Elaine Eid of Florida. He was the father of the late Steven VonEuw.
He is also survived by his step-children, Scott Hume of Newton, Mark Hume and Lisa Baker of Franklin and Renee Wilcox of Rhode Island.
He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Colorusso of Brockton, Eleanor DePasquale of Revere and his brothers, David VonEuw of West Roxbury and the Rev. Vincent VonEuw of Boston.
He was also the grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 3.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, September 2 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
