Ethel K. (Edie) Wagner, 90, of Berlin, NH and formerly of Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday August 25, 2010 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH. She was born in Sweetwine, Ohio on Feb. 8, 1920 the daughter of Clarence and Ella (Nipper) Edie and had lived in northern Kentucky for 44 years where she had been employed by the Kroger Company for that time. She later moved to Crossville, Tennessee and lived there for 25 years, until she moved to Berlin, NH in 2005 to live with her grandson Dennis Cox. Ethel had been president of the International Clerks Union, a longtime member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee and had been president of multiple homemakers clubs and organizations.
Members of the family include 5 grandchildren, including Dennis Cox of Berlin, NH; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; a sister Ann Myers of Cincinnati, OH; a brother Dayton Edie of Paducah, KY; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford Wagner, 2 sons Dennis Lee Cox and Jerry Lee Cox, and by a daughter Dolores Cox.
SERVICES: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. There are no calling hours. Interment will be in the church columbarium. In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes may make a donation in her memory to one’s local Catholic Church. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin & Gorham, NH.
