Priscilla D. Walker, 92

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Priscilla D. (Plausse) Walker, 92, of Mansfield passed away peacefully on Sunday August 29, 2010 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood. She was the beloved wife of the late Gardner P. Walker who died on June 28, 1987.
Born in Whitman, MA on October 6, 1917 she was a daughter of the late Emme O. Plausse and the late Mabel E. (Lovelace) Plausse-Deshon.
Priscilla grew up in Whitman, was educated in Whitman public schools and was a 1934 graduate of Whitman High School.
A dedicated homemaker to her loving family, Mrs. Walker had also worked part time assisting local insurance companies process transactions at the Registry of Motor Vehicles in North Attleboro.
Priscilla was a talented seamstress and artist. She created beautiful costumes for the DeLutis School of Dancing in Mansfield, some of which were displayed at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She will also be remembered for her exceptional cooking and baking skills. She was an inspiration in her daughters lives and was very supportive with their careers.
A resident of Mansfield for over 70 years, she was member of the Mansfield Congregational Church, Mrs. Walker was an avid reader and her hobbies included playing scrabble, solving crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy on TV.
She is survived by her devoted daughters Judith A. Joban and her husband Bill of North Attleboro, Rosemary W. DeCristoforo and her husband Albert of Beverly and Lisa R. Walker of Rhode Island. The sister of the late Donald Plausse, she is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Nathaniel Estes, Ethan Estes, Jennifer Estes, Danielle DeCristoforo, Paul DeCristoforo and Christopher Walker, several great grandchildren including Anthony DeCristoforo and her nephew Donald Plausse.
Private graveside funeral services were held on Wednesday September 1st at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.
Visiting hours were omitted and those wishing may remember Priscilla with a donation made in her memory to the Ellis Nursing Home Patients Activity Fund, 135 Ellis Avenue, Norwood, MA 02062.
