Josephine F. (Lavenia) “Dolly” O’Brien, age 64, of Salem, NH, died Friday Aug. 27th at the Holy Family Hospital Methuen, MA.
She was born in Boston, MA, grew up and was educated in South Boston, where she graduated from South Boston High School. She was a resident of Salem for the past 27 years.
Dolly (also known as Jo to her coworkers) was a CNA for Salemhaven Nursing Home in Salem, NH, where she worked for 20 years. She enjoyed reading, word searches and the computer. She loved animals, going to the mountains and collecting “Archie” comic books. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson Alexander.
She is survived by her husband Francis O’Brien of Salem, NH
2 Daughters: Kristin O’Brien of Salem, NH
Stacy Lee O’Brien of Manchester, NH
Grandson: Alexander Glennon
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 31st at 10 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. Cremation will follow.
Calling hours will be Monday, Aug. 30th from 4-7 PM at the Funeral Home.
