Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Eileen A. (Ventimiglia) Trupiano, 75, of 35 Granite Street, died Wednesday evening, August 25, 2010 in the Seacoast Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Capt. Gaspari Trupiano. They had shared forty-seven years of marriage.
Born in Gloucester on April 4, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Antoinette “Etta” (Parisi) Ventimiglia. She was a lifelong resident and was a graduate of St. Ann’s High School.
Prior to marriage, she had worked as a telephone operator for the former New England Telephone Company. After her children were of school age, she worked at Varian Extrion and for the Strong Leather Company.
Eileen was quick to laugh and enjoyed time with her family. She enjoyed wintering in Florida with her husband and playing bingo.
She is survived by three daughters, Ninfa, wife of Paul Lankiewicz, Annette Doucette, partner of Kenneth Tarr, Ann Trupiano, partner of Gerald Rose; three sons, Joseph Trupiano, Anthony, husband of Laura Trupiano and Thomas Trupiano; seven grandchildren, Thomas, Anthony, Dominic and Bryce Trupiano, Emily and Nicholas Doucette and Jacquelyn Rose; her former daughter-in-law, Laura Biancardi, her brother, Paul Ventimiglia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Rosario Piraino and brother, Salvatore Ventimiglia.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday morning in the Calvary Cemetery at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 4 – 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
