Obituary

WORCESTER-Mary C. (Reynolds) Allain, 52, of Worcester, beloved wife of Reggie Allain passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 after a short illness. She is survived by her husband of 34 years; three children, Jessica L. Harris and her husband Ronald of Worcester, Kristie M. Allain and her fiancé Craig Prachniak of Worcester and Michael C. Allain and his wife Diane of Worcester; three grandchildren, Kaydi, Andrew and “her baby” Jacob. She also leaves three sisters, Lynda B. Blanchette of Leicester, Eleanor F. Doherty and her husband John of Charlton and Deborah L. Mero and her husband Bryan of Brimfield; a brother-in-law, Bradman R. Turner of Millbury; many nephews and nieces and great nephews and great nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, Leo J. and Eleanor E. (Gonyea) Reynolds, and two sisters, Carol Zuidema and Elizabeth Turner.
Mary was born in Worcester and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from South High School in 1975. She worked for 25 years in the Worcester Public School Department as an Instructional Assistant, most recently at Tatnuck Magnet School. Mary also worked part-time for many years at Shaw’s Supermarket in Webster Square.

Mary was a devoted mother and wife. She was a best friend to everyone she loved. Mary enjoyed camping, reading and "learned" to love gardening. She loved to laugh and cherished time with her family and friends.

The funeral will be held on Monday, August 30 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday, August 29 from 3-6 PM in the funeral home.
