METHUEN — Helen M. (Perenda) Flynn, 87, of Methuen, and formerly of Cambridge, died peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at Sutton Hill Nursing Center in North Andover.
Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Tataronus) Perenda and was a graduate of Cambridge Latin High School. For 40 years she was employed at Myerson Tooth Company in Cambridge, and for 20 years at WGBH in Brighton, before retiring.
The widow of Daniel M. Flynn, she is survived by her daughter, Marie H. Newell and her husband Edward of Methuen; grandchildren, Jamie and Jonathan Newell of Methuen; step-grandchildren, Edward Newell Jr. and his wife Lisa of Victor, N.Y. and Jennifer and Shea also of Victor, N.Y.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Theresa's of Avila Church, 2078 Center St., West Roxbury. Burial will follow in Mount Benedict Cemetery also in West Roxbury.
