Obituary

Worcester - Bruce A. Keevan, 53, passed away peacefully after a long battle with brain cancer. He leaves the love of his life - his wife of 19 years - Florence Bengtson of Worcester; two sons, Joshua Keevan and his wife Michelle of Worcester and Matthew Keevan of Worcester; two daughters, Angela Keevan of Webster and Brittany Powers of Worcester; a step-son, Scott Powers; a sister, Katherine A. Keevan of FL; and five grandsons, Joshua, Benjamin, Jaycob, Jayden, and Jaysan. He also leaves his beloved dogs, Geneva and Ori.

He was born in Worcester, son of Louise (Nelson) and Edward W. Keevan. Bruce was a high school graduate. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War with the Rangers, Platoon 2. Bruce enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. He was a loyal fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.

Services will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Sunday, August 29, 2010. Calling hours will be held be held at 4:00 p.m., immediately followed by a memorial service at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
