ALBERT E. IRWIN, a Cohasset resident for the past 32 years, passed away on Friday, Aug. 20th, 2010 at his home at the age of 90. Mr. Irwin was born in Boston and after attending bombardier flight school in Childress, Texas served as a flight officer with the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was an engineer with the Gillette Company for 40 years, retiring in 1975. Growing up in Milton and raising his family in Hingham, he had a passion for golf as well as spending time with his family.
He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (Love) Irwin and father of Jeanne Irwin of New Hampshire, Janice Magner of Cohasset, Judith Brooks of Mansfield and the late John Irwin. He is also survived by his sister, Grace Billings of Spring Hill, FL, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
