William "Billy" Keen, Jr., age 49, died Friday, August 20, 2010 in Water Valley, MS. He was born in Oxford, MS to the late William Kenneth Keen, Sr. and Mary Margaret Crow Keen and attended NWCC where he earned an Associate's Degree in drafting. He worked as a draftsman and also delivered newspapers locally for many years until he became disabled. Billy was a strong advocate of the Bill of Rights and was an avid reader. He enjoyed music, sketching and drawing, and was a faithful Ole Miss fan. He was an amateur photographer, and his witty personality will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Billy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Water Valley.
The family has planned a visitation for Monday, August 23, 2010 from 5:30 until 7:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 7:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Dr. Randy Bain officiating.
Billy is survived by his wife, Brenda Stanford Keen of Water Valley, MS; a son, Brad (Andi) Terry of the the Anchor Community in Lafayette County, MS; three sisters, Ginny Keen of Faison, NC, Kathy (Phillip) Dickey of Water Valley, MS, and Linda (Dan) Lundahl of Oxford, MS; and his special nieces and nephews, Annamary Mejia, Elaine Mejia, Jeff Dickey, Jarrod Dickey, Jonathan Lundahl, and Eddie Stanford.
