Obituary

Lawrence Aram Jarret Jr. passed away on August 18th at The Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. He was born December 29,1921 in Woonsocket, RI a son of the late Lawrence and Mabel (Proulx) Jarret Sr. He also resided in Cumberland, RI and Westerly, RI for many years. The last several years of his life he lived in Bradenton, Florida. He was the beloved husband of the late Anne C. (Reilly) Jarret.

He is survived by his daughter Nancy R. Brochu and her husband Dr. Robert Brochu of Bradenton, Florida and Westerly, RI, son Edward L. Jarret and his wife Coletta J. Jarret of Charlestown, RI, his brother Edmund W. Jarret of Pennsylvania, four grandsons, James F. Kenney IV and his wife Heather of Alexandria VA, Michael S. Kenney of San Francisco CA, Dr. Patrick J. Kenney of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Reilly J. Jarret of Charlestown, RI. He was also the brother of the late Charles P. Jarret.

Along with his family he owned and operated Textile Processing Company in Woonsocket, RI for many years. He served in World War II in the Coast Guard on the frigate Abilene.

His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket . Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery in Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-7 PM.
