Obituary

NEWTON, NH: Jeannette M. (Albe) Gallagher, 89, formerly of Haverhill, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in the Exeter Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Quentin Gallagher.
Born in Haverhill on April 5, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John Albe and Dorothy Boch. She had resided in Haverhill most of her life before moving to Newton, NH forty years ago.
Jeannette was employed for many years as a support staff technician in the operating room/central supply at the former Hale Hospital. She loved this job very much and took much pride in it. She had also once worked as a factory worker for several shoe manufacturers in Haverhill. She loved all animals and was an avid collector of Indian and Angel statues and memorabilia.
She is survived by her son, Richard Gallagher of Newport Richie, FL, a brother, Ken Boch of Haverhill, a sister, Marilyn Amazeen of Somerville, a sister-in-law, Anne Pettingill of Haverhill, her dear friend, Dorothy Cate of Newton, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her two brothers, Thomas and Raymond Boch.
Her funeral services will be held on Friday in the Linnhean-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Island Pond Baptist Church Youth Missions, 26 North Salem Rd., Hampstead, NH 03841. Interment will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
