Worcester: Mildred E. Johnson passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 16, 2010. She leaves her cousins Doris A. Johnson of West Boylston, Gladys Beck of Holden, Virginia Choate, and Gloria Kennedy, a sister-in-law Margaret Johnson of FL, a nephew Carey Johnson of FL, 2 nieces Lisa Janson of Waltham and Laurie Todd of WA, Scott Johnson, Kim Fisher, Sarah Fisher, and many close friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Rolfe Johnson.
Millie was born in Worcester, daughter of Emil F. and Anna (Gyllenbaga) Johnson. She graduated from North High School and Becker Jr. College. She was employed by Norton Company for many years and worked for several years at Shawmut Bank. She was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its women's circles. She devoted a lot of her time as Trinity's Archivist, maintaining records at the church. She also was active with the Norton Co. Alumnae Association.
According to Millie's wishes, funeral services are private. Please omit flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church 73 Lancaster St. Worcester, MA 01609. The family has entrusted Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. with arrangements.
