Salem: Regina P. ‘Gina’ (Niemczyk) Juden, age 63 of Salem, died Monday evening, August 16, 2010, at Mass General Hospital in Boston following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was the devoted wife of Frederick E. Juden, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage.
Born in Revere and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Stanley B. and Frances (Cuskey) Niemczyk. Gina was a graduate of Somerville High, Class of 1964. She came to Salem following her marriage to Fred in 1968. Gina worked as a cook for the Salem School Department, and retired as head cook for the Collins Middle School in 2007. She was an awesome wife, mother, homemaker and friend. She was also a member of St. James Parish and a member of the Jubilee Yacht Club of Beverly.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Jeffrey D. Juden of Florida, a daughter, Lisa Marie Doyle and her husband Mark J. of Salem, 2 brothers, Stanley J. Niemczyk of Florida and Paul J. Niemczyk and his wife Dianne of Old Orchard Beach, ME, 2 grandsons Fredrick P. and Dalton C. Juden, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Kimberley Ann Juden.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Mass on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, 156 Federal St., Salem. There will be no visiting hours and burial will be private. Arrangements are by the Levesque Funeral Home of Salem.
