Audrey M. (Peters) Taranto of Abington, formerly of Bradenton, FL and Medford, died Sunday in Florida, after a brief illness. She was 86.
Audrey was raised in Somerville, the daughter of the late Frederic and the late Ada (Davies) Peters. A Medford resident for 40 years, Audrey worked as an administrator with Delta Air Lines. An enthusiastic traveler, Audrey saw the world from Europe to China and all over the United States. She wintered and lived in Florida for over 20 years and lived in Abington for 10. Audrey enjoyed a large circle of friends and enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends. She kept in contact with her family through frequent e-mails end enjoyed crocheting lap-robes for those in need.
The beloved wife of the late Anthony M. Taranto. She was a devoted mother to Patricia Condon and her husband Jay of Abington, Barbara Ward and her husband Terrance of Fort Lauderdale, Diane Doorakian of Bradenton, FL and her late husband Fran, Steven Taranto of Somerville. She was a loving grandmother to Amanda, Scott, Chris, Alyson, David, Dan and a loving great-grandmother to Clare, Liam, Lily, Jack, Kylie and Henry.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday August 20th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
