DUDLEY – Irene A. (Ryan) Piskala, 87, of Dudley, died Monday, August 16, 2010, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester. Her husband, Joseph J. Piskala, died in 1989.
She leaves a son, Joseph A. Piskala and his wife Marlene A. of Webster; 3 grandchildren, Joseph P., Sarah J. and Diana L. Piskala; a sister, M. Pearl DiDonato of Webster; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice “Pat” Deren.
She was born and raised in Webster, a daughter of Henry J. and Diana E. (Latour) Ryan. She moved to Dudley in 1953. She graduated from Saint Louis High School in Webster.
Mrs. Piskala was a tester at the Webster Record Company in Dudley, and then a solderer at the American Optical Company in Southbridge before retiring in 1975.
She was a member of Saint Louis Church in Webster. She enjoyed candlepin bowling and bingo.
Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to Saint Louis School Endowment Fund, 15 Lake Street, Webster. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster.
