Obituary

Annette Fournier, 88, died August 12, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in St. Ivariste, Quebec, April 13, 1922 to Simeon and Georgianna (Grondin) Veilleux. She lived most of her life in Manchester.

She was married to Oscar Fournier, who died in 1983.

She was a member of St. Marie Church and a member of the Sodality of St. Anne of that parish.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

IN HER LIFE: She leaves four daughters, Madeleine R. Valcourt and her husband, Gaetan, Joanne R. Daigle and her husband, Richard, Denise P. Plante and her husband, Jack, all of Manchester and Christine M. Bilodeau and her husband, Mark, of New Boston; nine grandchildren, Ronnie Van Loenan, Donna Fifield, Jimmy Valcourt, Jeffrey Valcourt, Kevin Daigle, Scott Daigle, Kimberly Lacroix, Mark Bilodeau Jr., and Nathan Bilodeau; 19 great grandchildren, Spencer, Erika, Ryan, Katelynn, Marissa, Morgan, Maggie, Ashley, Sami, Jillian, Trevor, Evan, Adella, Grace, Madison, Mackenzie, Haleigh, Jordyn and Dillon; five sisters, Rose Lamy of Ft. Myers, FL, Cecile Lamy, Mildred Pare, Violette Gardner and Doris Moreau, all of Manchester; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Roger Fournier; two sisters, Eva Dionne and Alice Francoeur; and three brothers, Albert Veilleux, Maurice Veilleux and Herve Veilleux.

In her final months our mom experienced several heart breaking health issues. She was cared for during these difficult times by her four daughters and a wonderful team of caregivers. We will be eternally grateful to these four angels; Terri, Barbara, Lilah and Carrie.

We also wish to recognize the amazing support the VNA Hospice Team provided during the last days of our mother’s life.


A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
