Assini, Andrew R. age 88 born in Hackensack, raised in Englewood and a former resident of Teaneck and Old Tappan died Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Concetta M. (nee) Miele. Dear brother-in-law of Ann Roberts and her husband Jim of Norwood and Joseph Miele and his wife Gloria of Closter. Loving uncle of Scott, Joey, Lisa and Theresa. Andrew was the owner and operator of Andrew Assini Sanitation in Old Tappan later he worked for Garden State National Bank as an armored truck guard. Andrew was also a proud WWII Army Veteran having served as a Paratrooper with the 101st Airborne. Funeral service Saturday, from the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell then to St. Cecilia’s RC Church Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM. Family and friends are invited to visit Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM at the funeral home.
