Mrs. Minnie Lee Ayers, age 79, wife of Mr. Ray Ayers of King, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Mrs. Ayers was born in Stokes County on September 19, 1930 to the late Perry and Minnie McKnight Adkins.
Mrs. Ayers is survived by her loving husband, Ray Ayers of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Ray (Mae) Ayers and Tommy Gray (Elizabeth) Ayers both of King; two daughters and son-in-law, Patsy Lee (Larry) Hutchins of Pinnacle and Sandra Ayers of Pilot Mountain; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Frances Foley of King.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Harvest Temple Church of God in King at 11:00 AM with Pastor Thurman Jenkins, Associate Pastor Robbie Sizemore, Rev. Roby Ayers and Rev. Kenneth Ayers officiating with interment to follow in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from 7-9 PM at Harvest Temple Church of God in King and at other times at the home of Tommy and Elizabeth Ayers on Falkenberry Ridge Road, King, NC.
