Barefoot Bay, Florida- Therese M. (Kenney) Ouellette 82, died peacefully Sunday, August 8th at the Prescott House in North Andover surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 30, 1927 in North Andover, Therese Marie was the daughter of Peter and Mary (McDonnell ) Kenney.
Terri was a longtime resident of Lawrence. She loved the ocean and enjoyed spending summers at the beach. Terri also loved to travel with her husband, Leo, visiting Europe, China, and the Caribbean Islands. Terri was a creative person who especially enjoyed painting and doing crafts with her grandchildren. She enjoyed entertaining and her home was the center of numerous parties and family gatherings. Terri maintained her close relationships with her northern friends, while at the same time she developed a large circle of friends in Barefoot Bay, Florida. She will be missed by them all. Terri's social events were often made up of good food; a friendly game of 45’s and games of poker, which she played to win. Terri was a graduate of the Edward F. Searle’s High School and for many years, she worked as a teller for the Arlington Trust Company.
Terri will always be remembered in the hearts of her loved ones. She is survived by her best friend of 66 years and beloved husband of 59 years, Leo J. Ouellette, who retired from the Lawrence Police Department as a Detective Sergeant. She is also survived by her two children, Debra L. Higgins and her husband Richard G. of Londonderry, NH and William J. Ouellette and his wife Maureen of Andover, seven grandchildren: Joanne, Sharon, Richard, Paul, Laura, Julie, Jeffrey and three great-grandchildren: Deana, Juan, and Anna as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Marie Michaud.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday August 13th 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m.at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday morning,at 11 o'clock in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/ St. Augustine’s Chapel on Ames St. in Lawrence.
