DUDLEY – Franciszka T. (Paszczakowska) Zurowska, 88, of 124 Dudley-Southbridge Road,died Thursday, November 20, in Webster Manor. Her husband of 15 years, Jan Zurowski, died in 1953.
She leaves 2 sons, Kazimierz Zurowski of Dudley and Bronislaw Zurowski of Bristol, CT; a daughter, Janina Antos of Dudley, with whom she lived; a brother, Grzegosz Paszczakowski of Poland; 4 grandsons, Robert, Mark, and Leonard Zurowski and Eric Antos; 5 granddaughters, Nina Reilly, Marta Lachcik, Katarzyna Azzara, Alina Matthews, and Margaret Zurowski; 5 great-grandchildren, Veronica and Josephine Azzara and Peter, Gregory and Isabella Lachcik; and a nephew, Zbigniew Slowik.
She was born and raised in Poland, daughter of the late Jozef and Aniela (Bordenko) Paszczakowski, and moved to this area in 1965. She graduated from an agricultural high school in Poland.
Mrs. Zurowska was a picker at the Webster Lens Company for several years, retiring in 1981.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica in Webster, and its Holy Rosary Sodality and Sacred Heart Society. She was also a member of the Polish National Alliance.
The funeral will be held Saturday, November 22, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 11:30 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours are from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Friday, November 21, in the funeral home.
