Mary A. (Manning) Kelley, 93, of New Bedford died Friday August 6, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Kelley.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Richard and Anne (Hallahan) Manning, she had lived in New Bedford all of her life. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
Mrs. Kelley was formerly employed as a clerk for the New Bedford Gas & Edison Light Company. She had also been a teacher aide at the Center for Retarded Children.
Survivors include two children, Maureen Vieira and her husband Allen of Rochester, and Michael C. Kelley and his wife Carole of New Bedford; five grandchildren, Colleen O'Leary and her husband Andrew, Michael Vieira and his wife Raquel, Charles Vieira and his wife Casey, and Ryan and Lucas Kelley; and five great-grandchildren, Michael, Conor, and Patrick O'Leary, and Alden and Carter Cole-Vieira.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Lawrence Church. Burial in the Mass. National Cemetery will be private.
