Obituary

Mary “Louise” (Corbosiero) Tamagno, 89, passed away in her home Sunday, June 13, 2010 after a courageous effort to live with many illnesses.

Born in Natick, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Corbosiero) Corbosiero. Louise graduated from Natick High School Class of 1939. She worked at several Natick factories during World War II and later attended Mansfield Academy Beauty School. Louise became a beautician and worked at the Center Beauty Shoppe in Framingham Center.

In 1952, Louise married the late Caesar Tamagno and moved to Framingham. Mr.Tamagno later opened the well known Framingham landmark, “Caesar's Monticello” Restaurant and Nightclub in 1957. It was a popular destination during its time where many famous performers appeared regularly. Louise and Caesar enjoyed entertaining their friends and family over the years and always remembered their local roots.

Louise was a devoted wife and mother to Anthony Tamagno of Anaheim, CA and Cynthia Tamagno of Watertown, MA She enjoyed ballroom dancing, Italian music, cooking, sewing, old movies and had her own distinctive sense of style and fashion. Louise was a member of Mothers' Club of St. Bridget School and Marian High School, Framingham, and St. John’s High School, Shrewsbury. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Natick, MA and the Francesco deSantis Lodge Order of the Sons of Italy in Natick for twenty four years.

Louise is also survived by her brother, Anthony Corbosiero of Natick, friend Sally Harper of Wellesley, her sister-in-law Gloria Cullati and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Louise’s memory on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 10 AM at St. Linus Church, Natick, MA. Burial will be private. Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice.
