Genevieve “Jennie” Zeghibe of Boston, passed away on August 5, 2010. She was 86 years old.
Jennie was a lifelong resident of Boston. She was very devoted to Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon Church, where she was a lifelong parishioner. She worked for many years as a seamstress in Boston's Garment District. Jennie loved spending time with her family and was adored by her many nieces and nephews. In recent years, Jennie also enjoyed spending time at Foxwoods.
Jennie was the beloved daughter of the late Shaheen and Adla (Malger) Zeghibe. Loving sister of Catherine “Kay” Maloof of Boston, Faris Zeghibe of Cataumet, Rose Burhoe of SC and the late Naseeb, Raymond, and William Zeghibe, and Josephine Lewis. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Jennie's funeral will be from the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY Tuesday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon Church, Jamaica Plain. Visiting hours will be held Monday 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Attendant parking will be available.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jennie’s memory may be made to the Church.
Interment will conclude services at New Calvary Cemetery in Boston.
