Mrs. Helen Christine Weathers
Evans, GA – Mrs. Helen Christine Southerland Weathers, age 86 entered into rest on Thursday, August 05, 2010 at Westwood Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with the Reverend Tony Wilkerson officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Weathers was a member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church where she served on the Women’s Missionary Union. She will be remembered as a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Mrs. Weathers gave joy to and was beloved by all who knew her.
Mrs. Weathers is survived by her sons, Michael Weathers and wife Shirley R. and Tony Weathers both of Augusta; her daughter, Marlene W. Still of Augusta ; her two brothers, Edward Southerland and wife Joyce and Ronald Southerland both of Greenwood, SC; her three grandchildren, Christian D. Weathers, Candice Weathers, and Gabriel Weathers and wife Aja; and her three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Weathers was preceded in death by her parents, William A. and Mary Fellows Southerland; and her brothers, Eiland, Grover, W.C., Ray, Thurmond, and Leroy Southerland.
Pallbearers will be Christian Weathers, Gabriel Weathers, Charles Robinette, Barry Robinette, and Billy Elliott.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Westwood Nursing Home Extended Care Center.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, August 6, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
