Obituary

FRAMINGHAM-Pandora (Saltis) Tsouros, 81, of Framingham, formerly of Stamford, CT and Boynton Beach, FL, died peacefully, Saturday, July 31st in Brigham and Women’s Hospital surrounded by her loved ones after a brief illness. Penny leaves her loving husband of 57 years, Charles, and two sons, Philip of Framingham and Christopher of Brookline; a sister Betty Montouris of West Harwich and Palm Beach, FL; three brothers, Michael Saltis of New York City, George Saltis of Stamford, CT and Andrew Saltis of Abington; one grandson; seven nieces, two grand-nephews and one grand niece.
She was born in Sotira, North Epiros, Greece, the daughter of the Very Reverend Philip T. Saltis and Presbytera Magdeline (Chaitis) Saltis and came to the United States in 1937; she was raised in Southbridge, attended St. Basil’s Academy and West Philadelphia High School. During the 1960’s she owned and operated The Cosmopolitan, a family restaurant in Stamford, CT and later worked as an executive administrative assistant in Connecticut and Massachusetts. She was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, and a former member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and a long time member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society, a charitable Greek women’s organization.
The funeral is Saturday, August 7th with a service at 9:30 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester is directing arrangements.
