Worcester – Alban J. Maillet, 97 formerly of Crompton St. died on Wednesday November 19 in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center.
He leaves his wife of 73 years Helena (Arsenault) Maillet of Worcester; two sons Donald A. Maillet of Millbury and Paul L. Maillet of Auburn; five daughters Yvette M. Cove of South Yarmouth, MA, Jeannine A. Maillet of Worcester, Carmen T. Dion of North Grafton, Claudette N. Filipkowski of Dennis, MA and Delma L. Ethier of Marlboro; a sister Ozelie Richard of Worcester; 21 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Maillet is predeceased by a son George Louis Maillet who died in 2002 and several siblings.
Mr. Maillet was born in St. Norbert, New Brunswick Canada son of George and Philomene (Maillet) Maillet. He was a steelworker for over 35 years at the former Johnson Steel and Wire Co. Mr. Maillet was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church.
The funeral will be held on Saturday November 22 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 53 Illinois St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday November 21 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
