In Taunton, of Raynham, August 4, 2010 Edward F. died at Morton Hospital in Taunton at the age of 87. Edward was the loving husband of Lois (Hayes) Cohen Travers. Born in Fall River and educated at Plymouth High School class of 1941, Edward was the son of the late Anton and Mary (Cabral) Travers. Edward served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as an Aviation Metal Smith. He was a retired Manufacturing Engineer for Teradyne Corporation for twenty years. Edward was the father of Kenneth Travers of Cambridge, Stanley Travers of No. Carolina and step father of Linda Faass of Melrose, Jeffrey Cohen of Rowley and the late James Cohen Jr. Brother of Alyce Botelho of Plymouth and the late Manuel, Arthur, Elizabeth and Lillian. Grandfather of nine grandchildren. A service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Monday, August 9th at 10 am. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5 pm. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park.
